Big Pun's Terror Squad Chain On Sale At eBay For Diddlely

Five years after his untimely demise, the late Big Pun's Terror Squad Tombstone chain was recently put on sale on eBay.

The chain was put on sale this past Friday, June 24th and bids started at $1,000. To date, 22 bids have been placed with the highest reaching $9,600. The auction closes on July 4, 2005 at 4:48pm Pacific Daylight Time.

According to eBay, the chain, previously worn by Christopher "Big Pun" Rios, has been put on auction on behalf of the Rios family. The customized link was initially purchased by Pun for over $100,000. The medallion is yellow gold dipped in white gold and weighs approximately 598 grams. Furthermore, the medallion features 1728 baguette diamonds and about 173 round diamonds. The winner of the auction will be flown in to New York to collect the TS chain. The flight's cost will be deducted from the purchase's total.

Proceeds from the chain's sale will go to Big Pun's widow, Liza Rios and their three children. Sources say Liza has struggled to raise the three children and make mortgage payments on their home since the Puerto Rican lyricist died back in 2000. The family reportedly doesn't receive royalty checks from Pun's first two albums and only received one small check for the emcee's last album. To date, the family claims they have failed to receive money for his children.

Part of the money from the chain's sale will go towards legal action to retrieve any unpaid royalties from Pun's projects. Payments can be made in cash, cashier's check or escrow at the buyers' expense and must be made within 30 days of the auction's close. Potential buyers must be pre-approved via before bidding.
