Murder Inc Reviews

This is the second group release with The Murderers. This time they added a few more members. Lets see if it’s better then the first one.

1. Intro

The first track is a mix between a track and an intro. Irv Gotti does some talking while the tight beat is playing. After a while Caddilac Tah is dropping a tight raw verse that makes you anticipate his debut album. Chink Santana is also on this track, and he makes the hook tight with his singing. Some people say that his style is very similar to Nate Dogg.

2. Gangstafied

This track is one of the best on the album. It’s very well produced and has got a tight piano sample in it. It is one of them tracks that get your head-bobbin during the track. The hook is simple but thanks to Chink Santana it’s very catchy. The rest of them Murderers are dropping tight and hard verses. Overall a tight track.

3. Down 4 U

This was the first single of the album. It’s basically “Down Ass Chick” nr 2. The track is perfect for the radio because it’s got that radio-friendly beat and a catchy hook, not to mention the radio friendly lyrics. Good track to use as a single or to play while you are chilling with your girl.

4. No one does it better

This track got a real weird beat. It’s sounds like an old disco hit. It works tho since it’s very tight. Charlie Baltimore goes solo and is showing of her skills. They could have used this track as a single too.

5. Its Murder

After two radio friendly tracks they get back to that raw Murda Inc sound. The beat is very dark and raw. Once again Chink Santana is making a tight hook while the rest is dropping hard lyrics. I specially liked Caddilac Tah`s verse at the end, because when he does it he does it raw with a gangsta feel to it.

6. The Pledge

Although the beat is very dark, this track is about being in love with somebody. At least from Ashanti. Her first verse is about how she appreciates her man and the things he do for him. Then Caddilac Tah is dropping a tight raw verse that is basically telling the haters to fuck off and that it’s all about I N C. If you don’t mind him destroying the love track you will love his verse.

7. Ride with us

The Murderers dedicate this track to the females. Or what they call their “Hoes”. This track is really laid back. The lyrics are about girls, but not on some silly shit its straight gangsta. Chink Santana is dropping a very catchy hook. This track was released as a single, and it's a tight track overall.

8. O.G.

Black Child is going solo on this track. The beat is laid-back and Black is dropping some cool lyrics. The hook could have been better.

9. The rain

Another laid back track. Ja Rule is singing the hook and makes it very catchy. Nothing very mind-blowing tho it’s just a good track. I like to listen to this track when I’m riding in my car or just chilling.

10. Here we come

This track is very hard. The beat is tight and makes you nod your head. The surprising thing is that Irv Gotti is dropping a verse. It’s nothing mind-blowing but it’s not bad either. The hook is very tight and is done by Vita. This is one of the best tracks on this album.

11. We still don’t give a fuck

When I first heard this track I thought Lil Jon was featured, because the beat sounds crunk as hell. I was wrong but the track is still tight since this style fits the Murderers. They are all dropping good verses. Especially the rapper that is dropping the second verse, don’t know who he is but he is dropping one of the best verse on this album.

12. 1 hearse 2 suburbans

Another hard gangsta track. The hook is on a kill a snitch/bitch thing. They are only dropping decent rhymes but it doesn’t matter cause the tight beat and hook makes up for it.

13. Ain't it funny

Don’t know why this track was on this album. Still, it’s a tight track that I bet everybody have heard and liked.

14. Tha nexx niggaz

Tha-Row and Murda Inc continues to do track collabos. In my opinion they’re making them very tight since both styles fit each other’s. Everything is good on this track. The beat is got that hard dark feeling. There are many rappers that do their thing on this track. Chink Santana coming out tight on the hook as usual.

15. DC Joe (skit)

Just a pointless skit that’s slowing downs the album.

16. Hold on

Chink Santana goes solo. He is showing us that he is someone to look out for in the future. This track is gangsta shit with an RNB twist. It’s a tight track.

This album is pretty solid. It’s not better then the first album but not to far behind. I recommend it if you are a fan of Murder INC.

I give it 3.5/5
