In the words of Ashanti “This is definitely my best album”, well she needs to re-think that because this album is nothing up to the standards of her self titled debut album. Ashanti has taken a step down lyrically on this album. This album has very good production but Ashanti fails to come up with the goods some would say a second time around. Ashanti says that this album is more ‘up-tempo’ has more ‘club bangers’ on it well what I say to that is can I have a copy of the album she has because on my copy there is no more then 3 ‘club bangers’ on this album. Ashanti does come strong on such tracks as Still Down, Love Again and Don’t Leave Me Alone but frankly the amount of weaker tracks outnumber those of good tracks. And what seems to be be-coming a habit with Ashanti albums terrible and pointless skits the “Book 3000” skit is two engineers talking about some hot track that needs to be mixed and yet another skit with her little sister Shi Shi on “Sister Stories”. Ashanti told the press she was working with more people outside out side of her record label Usher’s name was even brought up but yet the only artist is T.I. a rapper from the south which to honest wouldn’t really pull in the sales. Final verdict Ashanti stick to what your best at writing tracks about do’s and don’ts of love.
